The World Police & Fire Games is the World’s Largest Multi-Sport Experience after the Summer Olympics. New York City will host the 2011 Games from August 26, through September 5th, 2011. 18,000 Firefighters and Police Officers will compete in 65 Sporting Events throughout 35 Venues representing 70 Countries.
The 2011 Games will share a unique part of history as they coincide with the 10th anniversary of September 11. This historic moment will be marked with a Remembrance of those lost, and an opportunity for all New Yorkers to express Gratitude for the international support that flooded New York City. Ten years later, all eyes will focus as we take this opportunity to celebrate the best of human achievement and shine a much deserved spotlight on our global community of first responders, as they come together in the 2011 World Police & Fire Games.
